The Gigantic Performance of Giant Mt BikesGiant mt bikes have been around in the cycling industry for almost three decades now. This brand can be found in over fifty countries and has been known to be the preferred brand of some of the most popular professional cyclists. The bikes from Giant, an Australian designer and manufacturer of bicycles, have also become a favorite among non-professional or recreational cyclists. Giant mt bikes are distributed under several model lines. The products offered by the Australian firm include Downhill, Maestro-Glory, Maestro-Faith, Maestro-Reign, Maestro-Trance, Maestro-Anthem, AC All Conditions Mountain 06, STP – street, trail, park 06 and several sub-models under the XTC series. In the current year, the company has added the models DH Comp 2006, All Conditions Mountain 06 and XC Hardtail 06 to its line of products. The DH Comp 2006 is designed for hard core free riders and downhill cyclists. The frame is made from Aluxx SL 6013 aluminum, with an 8.25-inch travel and a 150mm rear end. The fork of the model features the 2006 Rockshox Boxxer Race with motion control and a Manitou Swinger SPV six-way coil with remote reservoir rear shock. Other features include an FSA Pig DH Pro 1 1/8th Ahead, a SRAM X-7 9 speed rear derailleur, cranks from Holzfeller and Michelin Wildgripper Comp 2.5 tires. The stem, handlebar and seatpost are all Easton components. The product is olive green in color. The All Conditions Mountain 06, also recently launched, is recommended to entry level freeriders, either in the street, trail or the park. The fork of this particular model is of Manitou Stance Blunt material with FFD damping. The derailleur at the front is of Alivio type while the rear features an SRAM SX-4.0 8 speed. The pedals are made from Alloy Platform, the handlebars and stem have Easton 31.8 mm high rise bar/50 mm stem specs and the seatpost is Easton alloy 30.9. Brakes and brake levers are from Hayes. Giant mt bikes have been around for quite some time now and the company has continued to improve its products. The various technologies available in mountain bike manufacturing have helped the firm build more impressive models and further strengthen its position in the bicycle business.
